Erin Denyer is shining for Durham.

Erin Denyer is shining for Durham.

The Thorp Academy student has regularly opened the bowling for Durham and so far has claimed 15 wickets for the county teams she has represented. Her best figures for County so far are 3/16.

At club level she has claimed 13 wickets and her best figures have been 4/4 at Junior level and 3/9 at senior level.

When Erin represented Durham Panthers in the new Super4s competition at the Emirates Riverside, she got the Panthers off to a good start.

She claimed her first wicket with her first ball and a second wicket later in that same over, which earned Erin a shout-out from Panthers captain and the Under-15s coach during an interview on Durham Women’s Twitter page.

Erin contributed to a fine team performance by the Panthers to make the final against the Durham Infernos.

The Panthers lost and Erin ended up with a minor fracture to her hand after trying to catch the ball when it was hit back to her whilst bowling.
