Here in the Science Faculty we aim:

Expectations and the journey to success

Through Year 7 and 8 students follow a programme of science topics with a mix of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The aim of the year 7 and 8 curriculum is give students an insight into the key ideas required in the 3 separate sciences before they are studied at a greater level of detail in later years.In year 9 to 11 students are taught:BiologyChemistryPhysicsAs three sciences with their own identity. Most students will go on to study the 3 sciences in a level of detail that allows them to achieve 2 GCSE grades in Science. We also aim to find opportunities for all students to study 3 separate GCSE's in Science. Some students will show they have what it takes to study GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry and GCSE Physics and achieve 3 GCSE grades in Science.
